Who We Are
Light Solutions is an architectural lighting design firm specializing in bringing guest and client-centered concepts to life. Ken Reynar, principal, established the firm in 1988, catching the wave of development in Las Vegas during its biggest boom. Today, we help set the tone for our client’s spaces that maximizes their goals, from driving sales, to highlighting unique features, or creating that perfect environment for their customers. With light, we transform gaming/hospitality, retail, transportation, and sports facilities using innovative concepts and enduring designs. We give back to our communities through work with charitable organizations and have provided designs for the public sector, focusing on lowering worker fatigue and boosting morale. Our work has caught the eye of clients who wish to bring an enlightened touch into their private residences in the United States and abroad.
Principal
Ken Reynar
Ken began his lighting career as a manufacturer’s representative for specification-oriented technical lighting equipment in Las Vegas, Nevada. Serving architects, engineers and lighting designers, he established himself and his company, Lighting Resources, as a valuable resource for specifiers seeking design and technical support for their projects.
In 1988, Mirage Resorts asked Ken to provide architectural lighting design services for several new gaming and hospitality developments they were planning. Ken saw this as an exciting opportunity to fully pursue his passion for design and closed the rep agency. He opened a lighting design firm and became the principal lighting consultant for Mirage Resorts, providing design services across all their properties for six years during an era of rapid expansion.
His work with Mirage Resorts led to engagements on other casino gaming projects and a multitude of different project types including office buildings, restaurants, retail stores, sports and entertainment facilities, schools, airports, churches and private residences, for both interiors and exteriors. Ken has worked on projects throughout the United States, and around the world in Canada, Egypt and China.
Outside of professional time, Ken enjoys motorcycling, the outdoors, and his passion for music and visual arts.

Lighting designer
Ashley Stevens
Graphic design, computer science and psychology studies at the University of Utah combine into the unique perspective that Ashley brings to her design work with Light Solutions. Ashley’s projects range from offices to conference centers to retail buildings and more. Her psychology background offers Light Solutions a depth that allows us to consider how people interact in the spaces we design. Ashley’s talents in computer design include top-tier rendering and modeling, providing near real-time changes during collaborations with architects and interior design firms.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys traveling, reading and playing with her son.

Administrator
Diana Reynar
Diana’s affiliation with lighting design began as a specification sales representative for lighting fixture manufacturers in a sales agency she co-owned called Lighting Resources. In 1991, Diana closed the sales agency and began a marketing career in healthcare. Diana’s been responsible for strategic planning, product development and brand development, working with teams of professionals in a leadership role. At Light Solutions, Diana is responsible for project management and administration.
Outside of work, Diana enjoys time with family, gardening, baking and hiking with her dogs.
